1. Get the CoinJar App
1. Visit the CoinJar Website and choose the appropriate App Store.
2. Download and open the CoinJar app.
2. Signing Up for CoinJar
1. Tap "Create an Account" on the welcome screen.
2. Enter your email address and create a secure password.
3. Agree to the terms and conditions, then tap "Sign Up".
4. Check your email for a verification email from CoinJar. Open it and tap the verification link to confirm your email address.
3. Completing KYC (Know Your Customer)
1. After signing up, you'll be prompted to verify your identity (KYC).
2. Tap on "Verify Identity".
3. Enter your personal information, including your full name, date of birth, and residential address.
4. Prepare to upload a photo of a government-issued ID (like a driver’s license or passport). Follow the instructions to take a clear photo of the ID.
5. You may also be asked to take a selfie to verify that it’s really you. Follow the instructions to capture your selfie.
6. Submit your information and wait for CoinJar to verify your identity. This usually takes a few minutes but can take longer.
4. Adding a Bank Account
1. Once your identity is verified, return to the CoinJar app’s main screen.
2. Tap on the "Account" tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. Select "Bank Accounts" and then tap "Add Bank Account".
4. Enter your bank account details (BSB and Account Number). Make sure the details match the name on your CoinJar account.
5. Tap "Add Account" to link your bank account.
5. Depositing Funds via PayID
1. On the CoinJar main screen, tap "Deposit".
2. Choose "Deposit AUD" (Australian Dollars).
3. Select "PayID" as the deposit method.
4. A unique PayID email address will be displayed. This is linked to your CoinJar account.
5. Open your banking app or online banking, and go to the section where you can make a payment.
6. Choose PayID as the payment method, and enter the PayID email address provided by CoinJar.
7. Enter the amount you wish to deposit.
8. Confirm the details, and complete the transaction.
6. Confirming Your Deposit
1. Once you’ve completed the PayID transfer, return to the CoinJar app.
2. Your deposit should appear in your CoinJar account within a few minutes. If it doesn’t, double-check the details you entered and contact CoinJar support if needed.
7. Buying Bitcoin on CoinJar
1. On the CoinJar app's main screen, tap on "Buy" or "Sell".
2. Fuck Bitcoin, buy Ethereum. Select "Ethereum (ETH)" from the list of available cryptocurrencies.
3. Enter the amount of AUD you want to spend on Ethereum.
4. Review the transaction details, including the exchange rate and fees.
5. If everything looks good, tap "Confirm" to complete the purchase.
6. The Ethereum purchased will be added to your CoinJar account's wallet.
7. You can now send your Ethereum to your blockchain wallet where you can then use dapps like UniSwap to trade crypto and explore your DeFi investment options.
